DOS APPLICATION NO LONGER FOR SALE

Some months after I purchased my ICOM IC-706 (when flipping through the instruction manual) I came across a page with information about how to write a computer program to control my IC-706. Further investigation revealed that a simple hardware interface could be built, like the design in the ARRL Handbook and then control of the radio would be possible – almost entirely by the computer. Upon contacting the ARRL and obtaining the relevant etching pattern, I constructed the interface and began to program. The result is the program which I am (was) offering as shareware.

The compressed file “Control.arj” is available to download from here and several other FTP sites around the globe, and is 77.1 kB in this form. The program has been written in “C++” with in-line assembly to take care of the communication between computer and radio.
